When I had dogs, the best tricks we could do with them were only to make them scared enough never to leave us. However, the whole ‘can you get the slippers?’ trick did prove useful until they decided that the trick should be ‘can you get the slippers, salivate on them, make us play with you for an hour until we get them back as shards of what they used to be?’.
Oh, and trust me, the barking never stops.
